Cassiterite
Cassiterite, or tinstone, principal ore of tin. The brown-to-black-colored mineral is found in veins, along with granite and quartz, and in riverbeds as pebbles. It is mined commercially in Malaysia, China, Bolivia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Congo, and Nigeria.
