CETA

CETA (Comprehensive Training and Employment Act of 1973), federally funded system for training unemployed people and providing them with jobs and job- related services. The Neighborhood Youth Corps, the Job Corps, and the Young Adult Conservation Corps are CETA programs. In 1981 severe cutbacks in Federal funding eliminated many programs.
