Feodor Ivanovich Chaliapin



Chaliapin, Feodor Ivanovich (1873–1938), Russian operatic bass. Famous for his acting as well as for his voice, he settled in France after the Russian Revolution. His main successes were as Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov and Boito's Mefistofele.
