Chipmunk

Chipmunk, any of various small, striped ground-living rodents (genera Tamias and Eutamias) of the squirrel family. There are 16 species in North America and 1 in Asia. They feed on fruits and nuts, which they carry in their cheek pouches. Though they do not hibernate, they sleep for long periods in winter.
