Ivy Compton-Burnett

Compton-Burnett, Ivy (1892–1969), English novelist. Her many novels, including Pastors and Masters (1925), Parents and Children (1941), and Mother and Son (1955), often feature crime and violence in English upper middle-class society at the turn of the century.
