Constanta (pop. 350,700), Romanian Black Sea seaport city. An industrial center with a modern harbor, Constanta exports petroleum and grain and is Romania's primary Air and naval base Founded by the Greeks (7th century B.C.), Constanta became part of Romania in 1878.
