Cooperstown

Cooperstown (pop. 2180), village in central New York State; the seat of Otsego County. Cooperstown is the site of the National Baseball Museum and Hall of Fame and the legendary hometown of baseball where General Abner Doubleday is said to have laid out a diamond in 1839.
