Bill Cosby



Cosby, Bill (William Henry Cosby, Jr.; 1937–), U.S. entertainer. Known mainly as a comedian, he is also an actor, producer, and author. He was the first African-American actor to star in a televison series (“I Spy,” 1965–8). He produced and starred in the award-winning television series “Cosby Show” (first aired in 1984). Uptown Saturday Night (1974) is one of his movie credits. He is the author of a number of books, including Fatherhood (1986), a collection of witty essays.
