John Aloysius Costello
Costello, John Aloysius (1891–1976), Irish prime minister(1948–51,1954–57). Costello's first term was marked by the withdrawal of Ireland from the Commonwealth of Nations (Republic of Ireland Act) and his second term was punctuated by terrorist acts of the Irish Republic Army (IRA).
