Coup d'état
Coup d'état (French, “stroke of state”), sudden and unlawful takeover of a government, usually the result of a country's unsteady and unbalanced politics. Notorious coups in the past include those effected by the Bolsheviks in Russia in 1917 and by the Communists in Czechoslovakia in 1948.
