Bob Cousy



Cousy, Bob (Robert Joseph Cousy; 1928– ), U.S. basketball player. Known for his dribbling and passing, he is considered one of the greatest playmakers of all time. As a guard for the Boston Celtics (1950–63) of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Cousy led the league in assists eight consecutive seasons (1952–60) and helped his team win the NBA championship 6 times. After leaving the Celtics, he coached both college and professional teams for 10 years. Cousy was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1970.
